Plot

Godzilla is a 2014 American sci-fi thriller monster movie that features the Japanese film monster of the same name. This is the reboot of the Godzilla franchise and retells the origin of GODZILLA in contemporary times as a "terrifying force of nature" in a style faithful to the Toho series of Godzilla films. The film stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson as US Navy Lieutenant Ford Brody, Ken Watanabe as Dr. Ichiro Serizawa, Elizabeth Olsen as Elle Brody (Ford's nurse wife), Juliette Binoche as Sandra "Sandy" Brody (Ford's mother, a nuclear regulations consultant at the Janjira nuclear plant), Sally Hawkins as Dr. Vivienne Graham (a scientist who works alongside Serizawa), David Strathairn as US Navy Admiral Stenz, and Bryan Cranston as Joseph "Joe" Brody (Ford's father).
