After 15 years of fighting a dysfunctional layout, Vangie and Joe are desperate to open up their cramped main floor before grandkids arrive. A set of poorly planned "closets" has stolen their home's heart – cutting off the kitchen, dining, and living spaces from one another. To make things right, it'll take serious structural work and expert guidance to safely remove the problem at the core.
